Abstract:
Objective To study the effect of intravascular stenting in patients with multiple coronary artery stenosis.
Methods A total of 226 patients with multiple coronary artery stenosis undergoing intravascular stenting in March 1998-March 2008 were divided into group A(n=183) and group B(n=43),and retrospectively analyzed.
Results A total of 270 stents were implanted into 226 patients. The mean diameter of stenosis was 87% ±13% before operation and 3% ±10% after operation in group A,while it was 86%±14% before operation and 3%±5% after operation in group B.There was no difference in vascular lumen and related complications between the two groups after operation(P>0.05).
Conclusion Coronary artery stenting can achieve rather good clinical results in multiple coronary artery stenosis.
