Abstract:
Objective To explore the clinical value of transvaginal ultrasound guided interventional therapy for hydrosalpinx.
Methods Transvaginal ultrasound guided aspiration and absolute alcohol sclerosis therapy were performed in 61 patients with hydrosalpinx. The patients were followed up for 3-12 months after therapy.
Results Hydrosalpinx was successfully treated in 58 of the 61 patients with absolute alcohol sclerosis therapy under ultrasound-guided interventional therapy. The curative rate of hydrosalpinx was 88.7% (47/53), the obviously effective rate was 3.8%(2/53), and the ineffective rate was 7.5%(4/53), respectively, during the 3-month follow-up, with a total effective rate of 92.5%. The curative rate of hydrosalpinx was 87.8%(36/41), the obviously effective rate was 4.9%(2/41), and the ineffective rate was 7.3%(3/41), respectively, during the 12-month follow-up, with a total effective rate of 92.7%. All cytological examinations were negative.
Conclusion Transvaginal ultrasound guided interventional therapy is a simple, effective and safe treatment modality for hydrosalpinx.
