A survey of application of the knowledge of medical statistic to 89 post-graduate papers

  • Abstract: The survey was carried out in three steps:(1) the experiment design; (2) the arrangement of statistical graphs/tables; and (3) the statistical treatment. The result of this surrey were: excellent 59(66.3%), good 27(30.3%), fair 2(2.3%), poor 1(1.1%). It may be concluded: 1. That the application rate is 100%. It indicats that it is necessary to teach statistics as a required lesson.2. That a satistactory teaching effort should be directed foward guidance.3. That the central idea of teaching should be the common fundamental knowledge, but the new statistical methods such as analysis of multiple factors should be also introduced, if necessary.4. That the quantity of statistical calculus is so large that the application of microcomputer should be developed.
