Abstract:
IN order to study the changes of electroretinogram in photic injury of the retina, 12 rabbits (24 eyes) underwent experiment of light damage to the retina. All the eyes were randomly divided into three groups, photic injury for 1 h group, 30 min group and 15 min group. The eyes were exposured to the light of indirect ophthalmoscopy (390. 7mw/cm
2 at the retina). Three groups were all examined before exposure and at the 30 min, 1, 6 h and on the 1, 7, and 14 day after exposure. The results demonstrated that the amplitude of respectively a-wave and b-wave in the darkadapted ERG responses at the 1h group and 30 min group decreased more markedty than 15 min group. (P<0.01)
