Abstract:
Urinary thromboxane B
2(TXB
2)and 6-keto-PGF
1α as well as plasma atrial natriuretic polypeptide(ANP)in 20 healthy volunteers and 13 patients suffering from chronic renal failure were measured with radioimmune assay.TXB
2 and 6-keto-PGF
1α were markedly lower than the normal values(p<0.01).There was, however,a close negative correlatino between urinary TXB
2 and plasma ANP(r=-0.61,p<0.01)and between urinary 6-keto-PGF
12 and plasma ANP(r= -0.54,p<0.05)Obviously,these data suggested that some of PGs are less synthesised or excresed in kidneys during renal failure meanwhile the heart and the kidneys coordinate each other well to maintain the hemeostasis of body.
