-
Abstract: Two cases of locked-in syndrome were reported in this paper. The etiology and athogenesis were discussed with review of literature. It was emphasized that dysathria and emimotor deficit could be the precursory symptoms of ischaemic stroke in locked-in state. If a atient suffered from ischaemic disturbance of the basilar artery, which might evolve to ocked-n state, anticoagulant therapy was indicated to prevent the occurence of the locked-in state.
