Abstract:
Objective To compare the effects of endoscopic treatment on esophageal papilloma.
Methods Forty-five patients with esophageal papilloma were treated in our hospital with microwave(MV)and argon-beam coagulator(ABC).After 3-6 months, the patients underwent gastroscopy, and their clinical manifestations were recorded and advantages of the two treatment modalities were compared.
Results The curative rate of microwave treatment for 15 patients and argon-beam coagulator treatment for 30 patients was 86.70%and 93.30%,respectively(χ2=0.03,P>0.05).The improvement rate of clinical manifestations was 86.70%:in 15 patients after microwave treatment and 96.70%in 30 patients after argon-beam coagulator treatment(χ2=0.40,P>0.05),respectively.
Conclusion The curative effect of treatment with endoscopic microwave and argon-beam coagulator on esophageal papilloma is almost similar.
