Abstract: Objective: To investigate the different expression levels of gene rassf1a in renal carcinoma tissue and adjacent renal tissue samples and their relation with clinical staging of renal carcinoma. Methods: Real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR was performed to detect the expression levels of rassf1a in 30 renal carcinoma tissue andadjacent renal tissue samples.Different rassf1a expression levels in different clinical stages of renal carcinoma were compared. Results: The expression level of rassf1a in renal cell carcinoma tissue samples was obviously lower than that in adjacent renal tissue samples（P＜0.05）.The lower expression level of rassf1a in renal cell carcinoma tissue samples was not related with the clinical staging of renal carcinoma. Conclusion: Rassf1a gene might be related to the occurrence and progression of renal carcinoma.
