Abstract:
Objective To observe the effect of epilepsy attack on mental health of intracranial tumor patients.
Methods One hundred and thirty intracranial tumor patients were divided into observation group with epilepsy attack(n=60)and control group without epilepsy attack(n=70).Their mental health was quantitatively analyzed and evaluated using the symptom check list(SCL-90).
Results The SCL-90 score of 7 mental factors(with the exception of interpersonal sensitivity and hostility),especially anxiety and depression,for the observation group with epilepsy attack was significantly higher than that for the control group without epilepsy attack(P<0.01).
Conclusion Mental health of intracranial tumor patients with epilepsy attack is worse than that of those without epilepsy attack.
