Abstract:
Childhood acute lymphocytic leukemia(ALL)is a heterogeneous disease with different immunological subtypes based on surface marker analyses with the aid of a panel of monoclonal antibodies. The relative proportions of different ALL subclasses appear to be similar to those reported from our country and abroad. Our results also indicated that monoclonal antibldies H65,P81,S35, 55 and 79 were very useful in defining the subtypes of ALL.
Our data showed that patients with T cell ALL had worse prognosis and those with B cell ALL also fared poorly.Non-T Non-B cell ALL patients who were cALL positive had the best outcome and cALL negtive group had an intermediate prognosis.
Based on the immunological classification of ALL with monoclonal antibodies,we further observed and detected the bone marrow cells of the patients with ALL by flow cytometry(FCM).We found that aneuploidy detectable by FCM was more frequent in acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
