Abstract: Therapies for airway hyper-reactive cough by differentiation of its symptoms and signs were studied.The pathology of airway hyper-reactive cough and its changing rules were observed based on the modern medical theories and differentiation of its symptoms and signs.The pathogenesis and treatment principles of the disease were established based on its symptoms and signs and related factors.The characteristics and rules of drug use for the disease were analyzed according to its pathological features.The treatment principles of the disease were proposed, such as by invigorating the lung and the kidney, nourishing Yin and clearing heat, promoting the dispersing function of lung, eliminating phlegm and relieving blood-stasis.
