Abstract:
Objective To study the curative effect of internal fixation of intra-articular calcaneal fracture with plastic titanic alloy plates.
Methods Twenty-eight cases of intra-articular calcaneal fracture were treated with internal fixation using plastic titanic alloy plates and screws through an extensible"L"-shared lateral approach. The posterior subtalar facet was reduced anatomically. Bohler’s and Gissance’s angle were reserved.
Results All cases were followed up for 11-36 months and evaluated using the Maryland Foot Score System. The function of hind feet were excellent in 20,good in 8 and fair in 4 feet, respectively. The total excellent and good rate was 87.5%.
Conclusion Satisfactory results can be achieved in treatment of intra-articular calcaneal fracture with internal fixation using plastic titanic alloy plates.
