Abstract:
Objective: To investigate the expression of LRP16 gene in breast carcinoma and its relation with prognosis of breast carcinoma.
Methods: Immunohistochemical method was employed to detect the expression of LRP16,ER,PR and E-cadherin in 62 cases of breast carcinoma.
Results: The positive rate of LRP16,ER,PR and E-cadherin in breast carcinoma was 56.5%,56.5%,48.4%,and 40.3%,respectively.LRP16 was positively correlatated with the size of tumor,axillary node metastasis,clinical classification,ER expression and negatively correlated with the expression of E-cadherin(
P<0.05).E-cadherin was negatively related with of axillary node metastasis,clinical classification(
P<0.05).
Conclusion: Expression of LRP16 is closely related with the malignant biological behavior of breast carcinoma and can be used as a new marker for evaluation of tumor malignancy.
