卵巢形态与激素测定值的对比观察

A comparison between ovarian morphology and hormone levels

  • Abstract: We here attempt to compare the ovarian morphology with the gonadotropin levels in 11 cases, with ovarian biopsies done in 7 of them.As the result of observation. Serum FSH>70.08mIU/ml,being higher than LH was seen in 4 cases, their ovaries appeared streaky(primary amenorrhic patients)and atrophic(secondary amenorrhic patients). No follicles on sections were found. Hypogonadotropic hypogonadism was seen in another 3 primary amenorrhic patients, one shows short statue, mild hypothyroidism, hypoadrenocorticism and streaky ovaries. The other two, amenorrhea and underdeveloped breasts but otherwise normal sexul organs, their ovaries were rather small, containing a lot of primitive follicles. LH was found constantly higher than FSH in 4 cases, their gonads presented changes typical of polycystic ovary,no matter whether amenorrhea, bleeding, obecity or hersutism was present. There is thus a good correlation between the serum LH,FSH level, their ratio and the ovarian morphology. But the correlation between the hormone immunoaction and the bioaction is not completely parallel.so,when the clinical signs contradict the lab result, the ovarian molphology from even exploratory biopsy should be studied.
