Abstract:
Objective: To probe the protein level and the clinical pathological significance of LRP16 gene in the patients of liver cancer.
Methods: Collect fresh resective tissues and the clinical data of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma, detecting the protein level of LRP16 in carcinoma tissues and the matched paratumor normal tissues by using Western blot method, and then analyze the relevance between LRP16 and clinical pathological feature.
Results: According to the results of Western blot, compared with that in peritumor and normal tissues,LRP16 was lower-expressed in carcinoma tissues.Significant associations were found between LRP16 and the number of nodules, tumor size,Edmonson-Steiner class and ect.
Conclusion: LRP16 was lowered-expressed in carcinoma tissues, compared with that in peritumor and normal tissues.LRP16 overexpression is closely correlated to lessermalignant biological behavior and LRP16 status are good prognostic factors.
