Abstract: This work was designed to observe influences of acupuncture on function and morphology of ischemic myocardium during experimental acute myocardial ischemia in 30 dogs.The results showed that after ligation of the left anterior descent branch of coronary artery（LAD）,DT in ischemic myocardium decreased obviously.∑ST and NST on epicardium electrogram increased significantly.After acupuncture was given at“Nei Gnan”point,DT in ischemic myocardium increased remarkably.Meantime,the extent of myocardial ischemic injury was relieved and the scope of necrotic area of myocardial infarction decreased significantly,suggesting that there is certain morphologic basis for physiologic effects of acupuncture. Analyses of experimental results showed that DT in myocardial ischemic region was closely negatively related ro ∑ST and NST on epicardium electrogram,and electro-acupuncture improved the relationship between them.
