Abstract:
Objective To study the correlation between quality of life,anxiety and depression in juveniles with bronchial asthma.
Methods Clinical data about 118 juveniles with bronchial asthma admitted to our hospital and 110 healthy controls were collected with self-designed questionnaires of general data and quality of life,self-rating anxiety scale,and self-rating depression scale.
Results The quality of life in juveniles with bronchial asthma was rather poor.Its influencing factors were disease course,gender,and no occurrence of severe asthma in the past 6 months.Anxiety was correlated with the quality of life,emotion and total score(P<0.05).
Conclusion The quality of life in juveniles with bronchial asthma is rather poor.Long disease course,female,and occurrence of severe asthma in the past 6 months are the risk factors for the quality of life.Anxiety,depression and quality of life may influence each other.
