Abstract:
Objective: Establish the method of inbred mice genetic monitor used by DNA fingerprint.
Methods: Sample BALB/c、C57、615、DBA/2 and ICR the five different strains of inbred mice, DNA fingerprints generated by probe JL 02 and southern blot was tested for its applicability to conduct genetic monitor in inbred mice.
Results: The mice of the same strain have the identical fingerprints and the similarity coefficient is 1 0±0 0; the mother mouse and the offspring have the same fingerprints too, the similarity coefficient is 0.982±0 015; the fingerprints have the great difference of the different strain and the similarity coefficient is 0.196±0 086.
Conclusion: The technique of DNA fingerprints which have been established by this study provide a new way of the inbred mice genetic monitor and provide a powerful measure for further studying the inbred laboratory animal genetic monitor in the molecular level.
