Abstract:
Objective:To explor the correlatin between ICP and shift of cerebral midline in early stage of postdecompressive brain bulk enlargement.
Methods:Used physical monitor,ICP was measured continuely in 6 cats within 6h after decompression.T
1WI was performed in the same 6 cats at the three time points (2h,4h or 6h after decompression) to examine the shift of cerebral midline.
Results: ICP raised shortly and obviously after decompression.The swollen hemisphere shifted increasingly to the contralater.
Conclusion: There was medium positive correlation (coefficient=0.61) between ICP and the midline shift in early stage (<6h) of post decompressive brain bulk enlargement.Both of ICP and the midline shift could show definitely the swollen degree of the hemisphere in decompressive side.
