Abstract: Cell culture technique was taken to observe the effect of Cordyceps sinensis (CS) and Epimedium(Ep) on cellular immunity in normal rat. The results showed: 1). CS and Ep had mitogenic effects on the rat splenocytes. 2). There was no significant of spleen cell stimulated by CS or Ep from that controls, but in vivo, CS and Ep could promote the IL-2 production of the rat splenocytes stimulated by PHA. 3). The rat splenocytes absorbency to IL-2 from culture medium was activated markedly by CS and Ep both in vivo and in vitro.
