Abstract:
This article reported the clinical,endocrinological and ovarian histological features of POF in 4 cases.
The clinical charecteristics were:Age of menarche and secondary charecteristics are normal, without galactorrhea;Regular menstrual periods for several years before the amenorrhea at ages of 20 to 22 with vasomotor symptoms and infertility;Normal genitalia or sinile vaginitis and mild degree of uterine atrophy found on gynecologic exam;No case was complicated with autoimmune disorders;chromosomes were all 46;ⅩⅩ.
Vaginal smear revealed lowered estrogenic effects;amount of serum gonadotrophin increased, both ovaries were small.No follicles but dense mesenchyme,scanty vascularity,hyalinization of blood vessels were found on light microscopy.There were abundant amount of collagen fibers under the electronic microscopy.
