Clinical and CT of occipital hemorrhage

  • Abstract: Three cases of intracerebral hemorrhage of occipital lobe, one with bilateral lesions and the others with left involvement, were reported. They were all testified by CT-Scan. Their main feature was optic disturbance which was characterized by harmonymous hemianopia with macular sparing. Other features included headache, vomiting and symptom and/or signs caused by stimulation to cerebrospinal membrane. Intracranial hypertension and mild pyramidal signs can sometimes be found in such patients. The etiology of this kind intracerebral hemorrhage is discussed.
