Abstract:
Ten cases of aplastic anemia and 10 cases of acute leukemia were submitted to 42 FLT from March 1981 to Dec. 1982 without any untoward side effect. Three cases were not feasible for evaluation in this study. Reconstitution of hemopoietic cellularity in the bone marrow or increase of mature cells in the peripheral blood was observed in 6 of the 8 cases of aplastic anemia. In one case of the terminal phase of acute leukemia the patient showed comple remission for 8 months. Chimerism of different sex chromomes was demonstrated in one patient. Six cases are still in remission, but relapse occured in other two cases. This paper has also discussed some factors which may influence the effect of FLT.
