Abstract: Two cases of pineal germinoma diagnosed on computerized tomographical and histo- pathological bases were reported.Both died within one week after operation.Clinical features,type,neurological and endocrinological dysfunctions were discussed.Diagnostic approaches were evaluated.Because of the high surgical risks and mortality,the writers suggest that once the diagnosis is firmly established,non-operative therapy with radiation is preferable.
