Abstract:
Objective To study the adverse reactions of patients with refractory and relapsing non-hodgkin′s lymphoma to combined treatment with irinotecan HCI and mitoxantrone and the nursing strategy for such patients.
Methods Adverse effects including delayed diarrhea,neutropenia,nausea,vomiting and constipation were observed in 12 patients with non-hodgkin’s lymphoma after combined treatment with irinotecan HCI and mitoxantrone.
Results Of the 12 patients,4 had complete remission and 4 partial remission of the disease,with a total effective rate of 66.6%.Four weeks after careful nursing of the 12 patients,the adverse effects were effectively controlled,with no other complications occurred.
Conclusion The suffering of patients with non-hodgkin’s lymphoma can be relieved and the therapeutic effect can be improved by closely observing the toxic reactions of patients to chemotherapy and effectively nursing the patients.
