Abstract:
Objective: To analysis the effects of repeated +Gz forces on the temporomandibular joint(TMJ), an animal model was established..
Methods: 36 male Wistar rats were randomly divided into 3 groups, control group, +1Gz group, and +10Gz group. The control group was only fixed with rat-kept devices for 5 minutes. The +1Gz group was borne +1Gz for 5 minutes. The +10Gz group was repeatedly exposed +10Gz(each for 30s, onset rate about 0.5G/s, 5 times/d with +1Gz 1 minute intervals, 4d/wk, 3 Weeks in total..
Results: The behaviors of these rats were described in details and pathologic injuries in TMJ were produced..
Conclusion: The animal model, which has good repeatition and induces pathologic changes in different degrees under various experimental variables, is a perfect model to observe the effects of repeated +Gz stresses on TMJ.
