Abstract:
Objective To study the effect of stress on serum protein levels in officers and men on naval ships.
Methods One hundred and seventy-six officers and men on naval ships were divided in to 3 groups according to their stress.Their C-reaction protein(CRP), rheummatoid factors(RF), ceruloplasmin(CER), transferrin(TRF), AAT,a1-acid glycoprotein(AGP), Hep,renal binding protein(Rtp), prealbuim(PRE), albuim(Alb), were detected and analyzed.
Results Protein had a trend to decrease after a long navigation and its level was different in different groups of officers and men.
Conclusion The effect of different work environments is different on the serum protein levels in officers and men on naval ships.Decreased serum protein levels indicate decreased liver function and the risk of developing some diseases.Additional nutrition should be provided for the officers and men on naval ships during navigation and their liver should be well protected
