Research advances in cGAS-STING in diabetes and related complications

  • 摘要: cGAS-STING信号通路作为一种先天免疫系统的重要通路,可触发以I型干扰素为代表的一系列炎症因子的表达,随着炎症因子的释放,导致胰岛β细胞功能受损和胰岛素抵抗,进而影响胰岛素的分泌,参与糖尿病及其并发症的发生发展。本文就cGAS-STING信号通路的结构和作用机制,以及cGAS-STING在糖尿病及其相关并发症中的研究进展进行综述,旨在为糖尿病及其并发症的预防治疗提供新的思路。

     

    Abstract: The cGAS-STING signaling pathway is a critical pathway in the innate immune system. It can trigger the expression of a series of inflammatory factors, including type I interferon. The release of inflammatory factors can impair beta cell function and insulin resistance, leading to changes in insulin secretion and contributing to the development of diabetes and its complications. This article reviews the structure and mechanism of the cGAS-STING signaling pathway, as well as the research progress of cGAS-STING in diabetes and its related complications, aiming to provide new insights into the prevention and treatment of diabetes and its complications.
